Forres 'gun' a toy

A GUN spotted on Forres High Street was a toy.

Police confirmed the weapon was a toy.

The ‘Gazette’ was contacted by several concerned people, who said they saw a man holding a weapon in the area near Anderson’s Primary School, at the street’s west end yesterday evening.

Inspector Paul McCruden, in charge at the town’s police station, said they had received reports about the gun and officers had been dispatched to investigate.

However, after conducting their enquiries the weapon was “positively identified” as a toy.
