Police investigating unexplained death in Inverness

POLICE are investigating the unexplained death of a man in Inverness.

A CAR has crashed on the roundabout at the Inverness Retail Park roundabout on the A96 and police are diverting traffic

Gavin Grant (32) was taken to Raigmore Hospital after police were called to a property in the Craigard Terrace area of the city shortly before 6.45pm on Saturday.

Mr Grant died in hospital on Monday.

Detective Inspector Eddie Ross said: "Our thoughts are with Mr Grant's family and friends at this difficult time.

"His death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.

"A police presence will be maintained in the area while the investigation continues and the local community is thanked for their patience and understanding as these enquiries continue."
