THE Easter Ross Ploughing Match returned to Rosskeen for the first time in 14 years courtesy of the Gill family and was contested in glorious sunshine.

The committee paid tribute to judges, stewards and competitors as well as the host family .

Committee member Anne Wood said: “The morning began beautiful and calm and the sunshine stayed with us all day. The backdrop of the church and Fyrish made for some fantastic scenes. It could not have been more perfect conditions for both competitors and spectators.”
