Six hurt in city crash

SIX people were rushed to hospital after a crash between a police van and a car in Inverness.

The most seriously injured was a pedestrian who was hit in the smash yesterday (Wednesday).

The man, in his 40s, was rushed to Raigmore Hospital by ambulance but later his injuries were described as non-life threatening.

The collision happened on Telford Street, opposite Lidl supermarket at 7.55am.

The other five casualties taken to Raigmore Hospital were the driver and two passengers from the car and two police officers from the police van. However it is not thought they suffered significant injuries.
