Man in hospital after fire rips through building at business park

A man has been taken to hospital following a fire at a business park in Aberdeenshire.

Firefighters were called to the blaze at a building at Midmill Business Park in Kintore just after 10.20am.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said eight fire trucks remain at the scene.

Police Scotland has urged members of the public to stay away from the area while nearby residents are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.

The force said: “Emergency services are responding to a fire at an industrial unit in the Tumulus Way area of Kintore.

“The incident was reported to police around 10.40am.

“One man has been taken to hospital for treatment and emergency services remain at the scene.

“The public are asked to stay away from the area and local residents should keep their windows and doors shut at this time.”
