Flights services have returned to normal at Wick Airport.

FLIGHTS from Wick Airport have resumed as normal today (Wednesday, May 25) after yesterday’s disruption caused by Icelandic volcanic ash.

Eastern Airways and Logan Air have both confirmed they expect all flights to arrive and depart on schedule.

The eruption of the Grimsvotn volcano on Saturday night caused flights from Wick to be cancelled yesterday.

Other Scottish airports are also returning to normal service.

The Met Office says ash could return to UK airspace on Friday which will likely affect the majority of the country.

A spokeswoman at Wick Airport said staff are constantly monitoring the situation.

Passengers are being asked to contact their airline for further information.
