By Rosemary Lowne

TWO people have been made redundant at an Inverness pet shop after the company entered administration for the second time in two years.

Acorn Pets (UK), which owns Acorn Pet Centre in Margaret Street, said last week the store was among six to remain open while 16 others across Scotland have closed with the loss of 122 full and part-time jobs. However, administrators Begbies and Traynor, which has been called in to find a buyer for the scaled-down business, confirmed today the job losses but said five staff are to be retained in full time, part time and weekend roles.
