THE personal assistant to Inverness millionaire Alan Savage has told a court his former lover Julie Zelent had little to do with his business on trips abroad.

Dawn Munro told Inverness Sheriff Court she took up her post as Mr Savage’s PA at the Orion recruitment group in January 2006, several months before he began his relationship with Ms Zelent.

At an earlier hearing, Ms Zelent said she had been on several business trips abroad and claimed her partner insisted she had regular beauty treatments and wore different designer clothes for each occasion.

But asked yesterday if the trips had any ‘business purpose’ for Ms Zelent 44-year-old Ms Munro replied: "No not at all. She wouldn’t have any understanding of the recruitment businesses having been with Alan for such a short time."

She said Ms Zelent had also never made any claims to her that she found these trips ‘a chore’.

"She gave the impression they had been enjoyable breaks," added Ms Munro.

The hearing will conclude tomorrow.

More in tomorrow's Inverness Courier.
