Trust 'is not to be trusted'

By SPP Reporter

With regards to the proposed wind turbines at Culvie and Blackhills Moss, I feel that the Banff and Macduff Trust has no right to develop turbines for their own gain and profit so far away from its own community boundary.

The overview of the Trust states they “are committed to making Banff and Macduff better places to live, work and visit”, and also state that no-one outwith these two towns can be a member of their Trust.

Why do they think they have any right to impose such an industrial structure approximately 400 metres from our homes? It seems that neither Mr Hardie, the Trust chairman or any other member of its board, shows any respect for anyone.

He posted out only five letters re the proposed development (shared postcode), although many more people will be affected by such an imposing industrial structure.

We are 100% agreed we do not want to have this development on our hill. The visual impact alone is not being considered, let alone the landscape and many other factors.

The Trust is not to be trusted it would seem, as the first we knew about the public meeting was to read of it in your paper. Mr Hardie and members of the board, take your proposals and develop your turbine within your own community.

NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED AND WITHHELD ON REQUEST.
