Public health and social care meeting

A PUBLIC meeting is being held to highlight the progress of health and social care integration in Forres.

Health and Social Care Moray claims its work to integrate and modernise service delivery is enabling growing numbers of people to maintain their independence and be supported in their own homes and in the community.

Chief officer of the partnership, Pam Gowans, will explain how the service redesign is evolving so that needs can be met in a high quality, sustainable way which supports improved health and wellbeing outcomes.

She will also provide an update on the position of Leanchoil Hospital.

The open meeting takes place in Forres Academy on Tuesday, November 27 at 6.30pm.

On Thursday, November 29, the Moray Integration Joint Board will be presented at with a report on the progress of service redesign and transformation in the Forres locality and potential options for delivery of a changed model of care, including the functions delivered in Leanchoil.

The meeting, which is also open to the public, will be held in the Inkwell, Elgin Youth Café, Francis Place, from 9.30am.
