Inverness car park rooftop drama
THE entrance to Rose Street car park in Inverness was cordoned off this afternoon whilst police dealt with a rooftop drama.
Officers spent just over an hour at the car park trying to talk a person down from the roof of the building.
He appeared to be threatening to jump.
The incident was reported to police at 3.10pm and just over an hour later, the matter was resolved with the man voluntarily deciding to move away from the edge of the building.
The area directly in front of the car park was cordoned off and there were traffic restrictions in place.
An eyewitness told the HN: "The front of the car park which looks onto the retail units was cordoned off. There were two plain clothes officers and another uniformed officer on the roof with the man. They were about three feet away from him.
"They were talking to him and eventually he pulled his feet from over the edge of the building and the police went to him. He wasn't wearing any shoes."
