THE Pedigreed Cars Shield on offer at Forres Bowling Club’s open pairs tournament was won by Campbell McCarthy and Sandy Burgess from the host club, who defeated Geordie Garrow and Neil Mathers.

The match was nip and tuck up to the fourteenth end when Campbell and Burgess started to take command.

Club president Alex Porter was delighted. to welcome a record 41 entries from eight clubs to the St Catherine’s Road green for the competition.

Alex, sales manager for the sponsors, also presented the prizes on Sunday afternoon. The weekend of bowling began with the first round at 9am on Saturday morning.
