Stewards wanted for Scottish Open
Castle Stuart hosts Scottish Open
Five weeks to go until the biggest golf tournament ever to hit the North, The Barclays Scottish Open, gets underway at the Castle Stuart Golf Course, Inverness.
Around 50,000 spectators are expected over the four days of play from Thursday 7 July – so why not apply to become a volunteer marshal?
Chief Marshal Bruce Duncan, a former police chief superintendent, has been charged to find up to 50 volunteers to assist him.
Crowds on Castle Stuart could be difficult to control especially on the holes which run along the shore line.
Anyone wishing to volunteer and selected will be rewarded with a free tee-shirt and waterproof jacket, a complimentary ticket which they can pass on to a family member or friend and, later, a free round of golf on the course.
