NC500 shop Contin Village Store on sale for £495,000
An NC500-route shop, Contin Village Store, has hit the market looking for offers over £495,000.
The A835 pit stop in the Ross village of Contin was originally constructed in the 1950s before being fully renovated around 2008.
The current owners of the property, who bought it in 2020, now wish to sell the business due to “a change in their personal circumstances”.
Contin Village Stores offers everything from newspapers, hot food, tourism merchandise, grocery items, greeting cards, bakery lines, soft and alcoholic drinks and tobacco to confectionery and LPG gas tanks.
Signage outside the shop highlights that Contin Village Stores is the last shop before reaching Ullapool, a village 38 miles north-west up the A835.
However, it has been argued that the last shop before Ullapool is Tarvies — a cafe three miles further up the road from Contin Village Stores.
