Ross-shire & Sutherland Federation SWI Bulb/Baking & Floral Art Show at Maryburgh
THE many and varied talents of members of Ross-shire & Sutherland Federation SWI were highlighted for all to see at the annual Bulb/Baking & Floral Art Show 2025 staged at Maryburgh Community Centre.
Visitors were welcomed to a beautiful array of entries from ladies across the Federation ranging from bulbs, floral art, artificial flowers and baking.
The ladies from Ardross certainly excelled, especially their president Betty Fraser, who has done exceptionally well over the last couple of years, particularly in the bulb section.

There was an interesting and varied amount of Easter Bonnets in the artificial flowers section, each one a cheery sight on a spring day.
The baking was well entered and there were some mouth-watering sights to see and great flavours in the fudge section.
The floral art didn't disappoint with some beautiful displays, especially in the miniature flowers section and foliage in an unusual container.
It was hailed a thoroughly enjoyable show for all.
Federation chairman Ann MacGhee welcomed all at the prizegiving and Ann Shewan a long-standing member of Contin SWI, and also a former Federation secretary and treasurer, presented the trophies to the prizewinners at the end of the show.
Organisers thanked everyone who took part and show secretary Phyllis Hannah, show convener Freida Mackenzie and Federation secretary Christine Pokernecki and helpers for all their hard work.
