PARALYMPIC gold medallist, Fin Graham, dropped into his former high school earlier today (September 19).

Already the holder of two world titles and a silver medallist at the Tokyo Paralympics, Fin (24) achieved his long-held dream after a nail-biting battle over the 71km course in the C1-C3 Road Race at the 2024 Paris Paralympics.

The Strathpeffer man has blazed a trail in the sport and encouraged other people to get on their bikes and follow their dreams.

In keeping with his sport of choice, Fin decided to pay a visit to pupils at his former school by cycling to Dingwall Academy with them.

Beginning at the Conon Bridge church car park at 8.30am, and making the 2.5-mile ride to the school in time for the first bell. He then took some time to meet all the Dingwall Academy pupils and sign a few helmets.

Dingwall Academy said: “What a way to start the day — cycling to school with Fin Graham, who received the most amazing welcome from pupils and staff! Thank you to Fin, Police Scotland and all staff and pupils!”

Speaking after claiming his Paralympic gold medal, Fin previously told the Ross-shire Journal: “I’ve still not quite come to terms with being a Paralympic champion. I’m still a bit speechless to be honest.

“All the hard work and dedication over the years and months leading up to it has been worthwhile.

“After I crossed the line, my teammates were the first ones that I saw but then I saw my mum and dad, and my schoolmates, and I just had to hold it together and try not to cry.”
