A WALK along a trailblazing off-road route linking two Ross-shire communities was a great start to the year for many in crisp conditions at the weekend.

The Peffery Way links Strathpeffer and Dingwall and has been well-used by walkers and cyclists since being established after a long, determined effort by enthusiasts and volunteers.

The route offers some lovely views of the surrounding Ross-shire countryside and is popular with cyclists as well as walkers. Picture: Mia Sabel
