MEMBERS of the public have rallied magnificently to a lifeline charity thanks to the efforts of a Black Isle farming couple who hold it close to their hearts.
A winter scale model show, food and craft fair held at the Black Isle Showground on Saturday has raised in excess of £6000 for Marie Curie.
It was organised for the charity, which provides end of life nursing care in the home, by Claire and Andrew Cameron.
Claire has worked as a Marie Curie nurse and both have had loved ones cared for by the cherished service.

Claire said: “We had an amazing day on Saturday with model exhibitors travelling from as far north as Orkney and from as far south as Cumbria.
“We were worried if there would still be an appetite for families to come along after two years of a break but there definitely was with many of our food stands completely selling out.
“The auction was well received and we are so grateful to all the local businesses that are kind enough to support Marie Curie. We are still totalling up donations but once final donations are collected it’s looking like we will be on par with 2019 total, which considering everything we are absolutely delighted with!
“Andrew and I are so grateful for our helpers throughout the event especially the Marie Curie fundraising team, the Dingwall Rotary Club and our auctioneer, Euan Campbell, for their support. We’d also like to say a big thank you to our sponsor Adder Solutions.”
