Highland dancers from Easter Ross were among the prize winners as 127 contenders from across the Highlands and Orkney took part in a dance festival on Saturday, March 1.

The Mina Mackay School of Dance were the hosts for the Mina Mackay Festival of Highland Dancing, which welcomed aspiring dancers aged four and up to Keiss Hall.

Judges Glynis Lumsden from Strichen and Yvonne Milne from Turriff oversaw the competition, which featured various categories and trophies for each section, with overall winners recognized for their performances.

Ava Ross from Tain was named Overall Beginner Dancer, while Mya Connor from Conon Bridge won Overall Novice Dancer.

The title of Overall Intermediate Dancer went to Katarina MacArthur from Dingwall, and Amy Macrae from Munlochy was awarded Overall Premier Dancer.
