Banging the drum for Muir of Ord Gala as scene set for fun day and floats parade

THESE youngsters needed little encouragement bang the drum for the Muir of Ord Gala which is set to come to a climax this weekend.

A drum fun workshop led in the village hall by Steve Sharpe allowed children hands-on experience with a range of percussion instruments from around the world.

The gala continued on Thursday with a tea dance, kids disco and bowling sessions with Friday highlights including a teddy bears' picnic and a movie night.

A hugely successful 5k fun run was also staged.

Saturday promises a day out for all the family with a stunt team, falconry displays, dancing and sideshow attractions such as bubble zorbs, laser tags, bouncy slides and fairground rides.

A head-turning High Street float parade is scheduled for 7pm.

The week concludes on Sunday with an Inverness Model Railway open day.
