PICTURES: Happy birthday to Ben Wyvis Primary School in Conon Bridge!

A BIRTHDAY bash with a difference was cause for an entire school community’s special celebration last week – and the party is set to go on!

Ben Wyvis Primary School in Conon Bridge marked its 10th anniversary on Friday, kick-starting a year of special events.

Head teacher Catriona McDowall said: “The children had a fabulous day celebrating the school’s 10th birthday with children from nursery to P7 enjoying bouncy castle, cake decorating and class activities.

“In the afternoon, children and staff gathered together in the courtyard garden to sing Happy Birthday to the school and to cut the celebration cake.

“The parent council and parents were a wonderful help with supporting our celebration.

“Our 10th birthday celebrations will continue throughout the year. Our new nursery will be having an official opening, there will be a family/community bingo night after Christmas and there are other events being organised.
