Alness police appeal after car set on fire two months after going off A836 road
ALNESS Police are appealing for witnesses in relation to a fire-raising to a car near Easter Fearn.
It is understood that the car originally went off the road on July 7 between Ardgay and Easter Fearn on the A836.
Then, in the early hours of Sunday (September 15), the white Nissan Qashqai car is believed to have been set on fire.

Police Scotland Highland and Islands said on their Facebook page: “Police in Alness are appealing for witness in relation to a fire-raising to a White Nissan Qashqai which has been in the verge of the A836 between Easter Fearn and Ardgay for some time.
“The vehicle is believed to have been set on fire between 00.30am and 2.15am on Sunday, September 15, 2024.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting reference 0500 of 15th September 2024.”
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 2.28am on Sunday, September 15 to reports of a vehicle fire near Tain.
"Operations Control mobilised one fire appliance to the A836, where firefighters extinguished the fire and worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene.
"There were no casualties."
