Police arrest man (33) after occupants had left scene of crash in Evanton

A 33-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing after a one-vehicle crash in Evanton earlier this morning.
Officers responded after receiving a report at around 8.15am in the Newton Road area of the Easter Ross village.
Police say the occupants of the vehicle had left the scene before police had arrived, but were later traced.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.15am on Thursday, March 20, 2025, police received a report of a one-vehicle crash in the Newton Road area of Evanton.
“The occupants of the car left the area prior to police arrival, but were later traced.
“One man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.”
