Police plea in hunt hooded raider in Tain





POLICE in Tain are hunting for a hooded raider who was disturbed by a householder in Mansfield Estate in the early hours of the morning.

The householder was awakened and discovered a hooded figure in the downstairs living room.

The man ran from the house and was chased a short distance by the householder, but was not caught.

Cash and medication was stolen in the incident which occurred at about 4.45am on Saturday, May 14 morning when

He is described as about six feet tall, wearing a white hooded top and dark coloured tracksuit bottoms.

Tain police are also appealing for information after sneak thieves raided a compound and stole batteries and copper piping.

The theft occurred between 5pm on Thursday, May 12, and 9am the following morning from the locked compound on the civic amenities site in Tain’s Industrial Estate.
