Pop up cafe and takeaway in Contin to take place as fundraiser for Strictly Inverness contestant
A Strictly Inverness contestant is hosing a cafe pop up and takeaway in Contin Village Hall.
Laura Crombie (44) is taking part in the annual dancing competition which sees novice Highlanders learn how to dance over five months.
All of it is in aid of the Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre. Alongside the training, contestants must also host a range of events to boost their fundraising efforts.
Laura’s Contin Hall fundraiser is taking place on Friday, May 2 and will have hot drinks and bibbles. People can also bring their own bottle and there will be a raffle and games.
Speaking about why she is taking part in the competition, Laura said: “I can’t dance and am very self-conscious so I thought this was about as far out of my comfort zone as possible! I love the Hospice and the work they do so happy to take on the challenge.”
