A popular Ross-shire fish and chip shop has temporarily closed its doors because of Covid.

Jaki Fish & Chip Shop in Muir of Ord said today that it was closed due to a positive Covid test.

Owner Jaki Pickett posted: ''I’d like to apologise in advance that my shop will be closed until Monday 23rd.

''Keeping the staff and public safe is important so sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

''Hopefully everyone will be fit and well to welcome you back next week.''

The Seaforth Road venue is a popular local favourite with many and last year introduced its own in-house superhero, Batterman.
