Residents have until Sunday to have a say on burial rules in Highland Council consultation on revised management rules

People have until Sunday to have their say on revised management rules for burial grounds and Inverness crematorium.
Highland Council has a statutory duty to manage burials, oversee memorial safety and cremations for around 1500 burials and 1200 cremations each year.
It is consulting on revisions to the management rules for its 268 burial grounds across the region and crematorium at Kilvean.
The council acknowledged feedback already received which requested clarity on cemetery car parks – given some inappropriate behaviour last summer by irresponsible campers and motorhome users.
