Ross-shire amateur photographers have snapped up wins in a camera club competition.

The East Sutherland Camera Club, which has several members from Ross-shire, has announced the winners of its March amateur photography competition.

With the title of Still Life/Table Top, and the two categories of Colour and Monochrome, this was one of the types of photography where everything is within the total control of the person behind the camera. This month, fellow photographer and graphic designer Fin Macrae from Tain was judging.

Emma’s Every Picture Tells a Story snapped up third place, as it showcases Emma’s grandfather’s camera from the 1950s alongside an array of family pictures which may have come from that very camera.

Portmahomack’s Zoe Gray ranked in a tied third place in the Colour category for her photograph celebrating Coffee Time, using a traditional composition and a part-consumed custard cream with an effective scattering of crumbs.
