Chair of the Black Isle and Easter Ross Area Committee, Cllr Lyndsey Johnston, said: “I feel it is very important before today’s meeting to say some words about our former colleague and councillor Alasdair Rhind, who sadly passed away recently.

“Since the last committee we were all shocked and saddened by Alasdair’s passing. Alisdair had served the Tain area as a councillor since 1999, he was much loved and respected and I’m sure his passing will leave a huge hole in the hearts of many, and the thoughts of this committee are with his family.”

The Chair opened the meeting to members to share their own tributes to Alasdair.
