November 1
Almost 2000 people signed a petition calling for speed restrictions on an Easter ross road amidst wider concerns about the possible impact of a multimillion-pound biogas plant proposal.
The B9175 from Nigg roundabout through Arabella and the port of Nigg is already used daily by HGVs. The prospect of the biodigester plant adding to existing traffic was leaving some very anxious.

November 8
A six-month delay to completion of the new Tain 3-18 campus was revealed on this week’s front page.
The project had already been hit by concerns over localised flooding from nearby residents and now it emerged that it’s unlikely to be ready until August 2025.
The success of Highland dancer Molly Robertson (10) from North Kessock was also shared on the front page.
The youngster who had only started competitive dancing 18 months prior had her eyes on a goal of attending world championships.
November 15
Tarradale Primary pupils had done a terrific job rallying the wider community to a local campaign to boost the Blythswood shoebox drive.
The Dingwall public got a glimpse of a masterplan to make better use of public buildings through the concept of points of delivery (PODs), part of a wider Highland Council investment plan.
Tributes were being paid to a larger-than-life Alness man Andrew Maitland who had died at the age of 39. Alness United, the team he had once played for, planned a minute’s silence and there were tributes from many others.
November 22
There were calls for answers after claims several parents had pulled children out of school after a pupil was allegedly left with a concussion after being attacked.
Dingwall couple Joan and Hamish MacDonald beamed out from the front page, celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary. And we learned the secret of their success…
November 28
