Lochcarron Medical Practice in Ross-shire ready to begin Covid-19 vaccinations

DOCTORS serving a Ross-shire community have set out plans for its Covid-19 vaccination rollout.

Lochcarron Medical Practice said it was delighted to announce that it had received its first batch of vaccines and plans its first clinic on Friday.

In line with the rollout to agreed priority groups, the first batch will be used on the population of people over the age of 80.

It made clear: "We will contact all those on the list, so there is no requirement to phone the practice.

"The Community Nursing Team will be giving housebound patients the vaccine and shall contact them directly.

"After receiving the vaccine, you are not allowed to drive for 15 minutes, please wait in your car. It might be preferable to ask someone to drive you to your appointment.

"We will be operating a one-way system. Remember to wear a face mask and stay socially distanced at all times."

Practices across the region say they will be in touch to alert registered patients about vaccine appointments in due course.
