Dingwall Tesco sounds a thousand thanks over Christmas toy appeal
BIG-HEARTED shoppers using a Ross-shire superstore have shown the love for others less fortunate this Christmas.
Tesco Dingwall back in November launched its Christmas Toy Appeal with donations set to be handed over to the Highland Council Homeless Team in in the town.
Tesco Dingwall community champion Michelle Mackay explained: “They will provide us with an anonymous list of gender and age of children who are in homeless accommodation this Christmas.

“The team in Dingwall have done this for the last three years and lots of gifts have been donated so the children don't go without and help to relieve the pressure on parents.
The store is also supporting The Archie Foundation Highland with our Toy Appeal, where presents will be distributed to children in the Children's Ward at Raigmore Hospital over Christmas.
The store’s community champion, Michelle Mackay, said: “The toys have left our store, collected by Zoe Grant, from The Archie Foundation and the Homeless Team from the Highland Council, Dingwall.
“We estimate approximately £1k in toys were donated by our customers.
“The kindness and generosity shown by our community is just outstanding and everyone should be really proud to know they have helped some of those less fortunate than us in our town.
“Thank you for every single donation this Christmas.”
