Scotrail cancels Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness service after breakdown
Scotrail has been forced to cancel an early morning service from Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness.
The train operator blamed a fault on the train for the non-running of the 06:11 service, due in Inverness at 08:50.
Passengers with tickets are being advised to claim a refund as no alternative transport is being laid on.
A Scotrail spokesman said: “We have been unable to secure replacement transport for this cancelled train, so passengers are advised to consider making their own alternative arrangements.
“Citylink will be accepting valid ScotRail tickets on the 08:33 bus from Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness.
The next service from Kyle of Lochalsh is the 12:08 to Inverness.
“Since those travelling are delayed by over 30 minutes, they can make a claim by visiting ScotRail.co.uk/delay-repay.
