Scottish Ambulance Service staff in the Highlands join the Jerusalema dance challenge to raise money for Cash for Kids
Ambulance staff from across the region got together over the weekend to raise cash for MFR Cash for Kids.
More than 30 ambulance crew, paramedics and administration staff have been working away in the background to learn a dance to the tune Jerusalema by Master KG.
Paramedic Scott Ironside said he was very pleased with the results, and couldn't wait to share the final video later in the week.
Mr Ironside said: "I saw lots of people from all over the world doing the dance challenge to Jerusalema, even nuns and the Irish Police were doing it, so I thought 'why not?'.
"It has been a long year and I knew people wanted to do something fun. We started a WhatsApp group and sent out the steps to people so they could learn them. We were then very kindly offered a bard to practice in. Everything we did was socially distanced and safe.
"On Saturday we put it all together and we had a very kind volunteer who made a video of it for us, even using a drone to capture all the dancers. We did the dance in different locations, including in Alness, in Inverness and at North Kessock. It was really wonderful to see it all coming together.
"We thought that we would set up a justgiving page to raise money and we have been absolutely blown away by the response. We have already raised more than £2000 for Cash for Kids."
He added: "We all work for the Ambulance Service and the support we are getting is outstanding. I would like to thank everyone for supporting us.
"It was just absolutely fabulous getting together with everyone for the dance. It was a great feeling to all be dancing together. Thank you to everyone for making it happen."
