Seconds out, round one!

Grapple fans in Easter Ross are in for a treat this month as the stars of the World Wide Wrestling League (W3L) prepare to descend upon Dingwall for a night of live hard-hitting, bone crunching action.

Some of the best up and coming names on the Scottish professional wrestling scene will take to the ring as W3L hosts its “Funky Like a Monkey” event at the Royal British Legion on Friday, February 28.

The American-style wrestling promotion – which kicks off its “Workin’ Man’s Wrestling” tour with the Dingwall show – holds events all across the UK, and last appeared in the north with a show at Alness Academy.

Matches will be taped for its popular wrestling streaming service Demand Progress Plus and Wrestling Showdown, which “drops” every Sunday at noon.

The Dingwall event will be headlined by a W3L Wrestling Showdown Championship match as “Irn” Drew Marshall defends his title against the newest member of the cult-like “Commune” wrestling stable, Lou King Sharp.

Other members of the Commune will also be in action, as The Jackal and The Tormentor team up to face “Tier Zero” Taylor Bryden and Saqib Ali.

Fan’s will also witness the return to action of “Wrestling’s Most Handsome Man”, W3L BreakOut Champion Hugo Harris, who returns from a two-month suspension after “aggressively complaining” to the W3L tour manager, Claire.

Claire’s partner, former champion and current W3L executive, Mike Musso, has vowed to call Hugo Harris out to the ring for what many feel will turn into an explosive confrontation.

Along with other top names competing, wrestling fans will also be treated to a contest from W3L’s Women’s Division as Moxie Malone battles Rubi Roberts.

Advertised as a show suitable for all ages, ticket prices start at £12, with ringside seats available for £16.

Match Sponsorships are also available for local businesses.
