POLICE have appealed for witnesses after sheep were attacked by dogs in the Highlands.

The appeal made this morning, asked for people who anything about the incident, that involved two Labrador dogs in the Alness area.

A police spokeswoman said: "About 8pm on Tuesday December 21 2021, sheep were attacked in a field adjacent to Dalnavie Farm, Ardross, By Alness, Ross-Shire, by two black Labrador dogs.

"Anyone with information in relation to this incident can contact Police on 101 or via the Police Scotland website, quoting Incident Number 20211221-2951.

"Anonymous reports can be made to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
