Skier airlifted to hospital after tumble of Ross-shire peak A' Chraileag in Glen Shiel
A SKIER has been airlifted from a Ross-shire peak to Raigmore Hospital after a fall today.
The incident happened on A' Chraileag in Glen Shiel earlier today, triggering a call to Kintail Mountain Rescue Team volunteers.
Four team members were helicoptered onto the mountain while others coordinated from the glen and the base, with the rest on standby in case they were needed.

When the cloud cleared sufficiently, Rescue helicopter 151 was able to airlift the casualty and transfer them directly to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment.
The four Kintail MRT members then walked five others from the skiing party off the hill.
A spokesman said: “We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.”
Kintail Mountain Rescue Team is made up entirely of volunteers. Team members are on call 365 days a year, 24 hours a day to help anyone who is in trouble in the mountains.
