Tain Air Weapons Range timings for April to include live ground firing
Tain Air Weapons Range timings for April have been published by the Ministry of Defence.
Between April 15–30, as a UK air weapon range, Tain will see seven extended operating hours and low-flying activities.
Townsfolk and those living in the surrounding area may see activities from rotary wings and live ground firing.

The Military of Defence also outlined strict rules for anyone in the area wishing to see the activities take place.
Military of Defence said: “If red warning flags or red lights are displayed, regardless of timings, please remain clear of the range area.
“Whenever warning signals are displayed, do not cross the range boundary.
“Do not touch any military debris it may be dangerous: note the location and inform a member of range staff or police.
“Dates and times published are correct at the time of publication, however they may change without notice.”
The Tain Air Weapons Range timings for April are:
• Monday, April 15, Rotary wing from 10pm–12am.
• Tuesday, April 16, Rotary wing from 10pm–12am.
• Wednesday, April 17, Rotary wing from 10pm–12am.
• Thursday, April 18, Rotary wing from 10pm–midnight.
• Friday, April 26, Live ground firing from 2–3pm.
• Monday, April 29, Live ground firing from 10pm–12am.
• Tuesday, April 30, Live ground firing from 10pm–12am.
