Vet Speak: A delicate problem for our feline friends that needs immediate attention
Abby was a long-haired tabby who had been brought into the surgery as she had been passing small pools of urine throughout the house and also been back and forth, trying to pass urine in her litter tray, writes Vet Alison Laurie-Chalmers.
She was otherwise bright, active and eating well, but clearly had a urinary tract problem.

The people of an Easter Ross town turned out in force to pay their last respects to a local teenager killed in a tragic road accident.
Tribute was paid to Craig Melville, who was 16, through a special cortege of sports and performance cars driven through the centre of Alness on the day he was laid to rest.

Couple clashed after Christmas night out
A bridge night created troubled waters between a music teacher and her third husband when she accused him of having an affair.
The row between handyman/joiner Allan Downie and now estranged spouse Irene Fraser, of Balblair, culminated in him grabbing her by the throat at the home they shared on December 21, 2015.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard the matter did not come to the police's attention until five years later, amidst an acrimonious divorce which has still to be settled.

Major disruption on Highland main rail line after train derailment
Services on the main Highland Line were severely disrupted after a derailment early on Saturday.
The incident happened during an early morning test run. The service was not carrying any passengers and nobody was injured when it got into difficulty near Dalwhinnie at around 3.15am.
