Invergordon primary kids truly are a talented bunch!
CHILDREN at an Easter Ross primary school were given the chance to shine at a talent show which has also raised hundreds of pounds as part of Comic Relief.
The South Lodge Primary showcase has become a firm favourite since the event was introduced by head teacher, David Hayes-MacLeod in 2017.
He said: "It is becoming more and more important to celebrate the achievements of our children and not wholly focus on academia.
"This was certainly proven to me in my last school as the talent show showcased some children in such a different light that the 'normal' day to day running of the school perhaps does not."
Singers, magicians, dancers and gymnasts showed a level of talent he said was "just unbelievable".
Three judges – Cllr Pauline Munro, Invergordon Academy head Michael Aitchison and Ross Simpson, South Lodge’s facilities management assistant – helped decide the overall winner.
It came down to a joint first for Farryn Hercher from P1, who dazzled with her hip hop dancing, and Amelia MacLean of P2 with her Spanish-inspired dance.
Mr Aitchison said: "I was blown away by the ability, energy and confidence of all the performers. Well done to everyone for putting on such a fantastic show."
Councillor Munro said: "Every single contestant who took part was absolutely awesome. What a fantastic way to end the week."
