Strathpeffer to Dingwall Peffery Way route set for post-storm tree clearance

TREES blown down across the path of a popular walking route during a storm earlier this month will be cleared on Saturday.

UPDATE: Group feels chipper after work completed!

The storm damage affected the Peffery Way which offers on off-road link between Dingwall and Strathpeffer.

The damage included one large tree that was blown over east of the sewage works during the December 22 storm.

Warning posters and hazard tape were put up pending a contractor being appointed to deal with the issue.

The Peffery Way Association today posted: “Trees across the path will be cleared tomorrow morning from 10am so we’d appreciate folks keeping clear till the work is done.

“We will let you know when the path is open again. Thanks very much for your co-operation.”
