Tumbling Paddies rolling towards Strathpeffer Pavilion for hotly anticipated sold-out show
AN iconic Ross-shire venue will be buzzing tonight with a sell-out crowd for an eagerly anticipated debut from Irish stars.
The Tumbling Paddies, one of Ireland’s most sought-after acts, will perform at the iconic Strathpeffer Pavilion tonight.
It marks one of the highlights of the year to date for well-known local event organiser Lorraine Christie who launched her own company last year to provide opportunities for new and upcoming artists to have a space to perform.
Securing the first Highland date for The Tumbling Paddies - who have just completed a tour in Australia - is a feather in the cap of the promoter, also well known in Ross County Football Club circles as a former commercial manager at the Dingwall club.
In what promises to be a busy weekend for her, she’s also organised a show by top Irish entertainers Shawn Cuddy and Curtis Magee in Dingwall on Saturday night.
Keen to provide platforms for acts to connect with audiences, she previously told us: “When I left Ross County my dream was to expand what I was doing. I’ve started to work with many artists, with the majority being from Ireland. I’m managing and promoting their events.
“I love being able to think out of the box when it comes to events!"
Meanwhile, anticipation for The Tumbling Paddies is building nicely with a late flurry of people trying to secure tickets for the sold out event.
In response to an image of their tour lorry heading up the A9, one excited local fan posted: “Actually can not wait, see you guys soon!” Another wrote: “Saw them in Belfast in December. Brilliant night - looking forward to it again tonight.”
