Ullapool’s Highland Liquor Co ‘thrilled’ to win award for their Seven Crofts gin

Ullapool’s Highland Liquor Company have won a prestigious national award for their unique, locally-made gin.

Seven Crofts Fisherman’s Strength Gin, made by the Highland Liquor Co at their Ullapool Distillery, won the Distilling Product of the Year - White Spirits accolade at the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards 2024.

Founded by Helen Chalmers and Robert Hicks in 2018, Highland Liquor Co have created multiple traditionally-made spirits, including The Ullapool Gin and the Seven Crofts Dry Gin, and the now award-winning, Fisherman’s Strength Gin. As well as this, the company also has a shop in Fort William and a shop on Ullapool’s Shore Street, which offer a range of locally-made liquors.

Robert Hicks, co-owner of the Highland Liquor Co, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been recognised at the Scotland Food and Drink Excellence Awards.
