BRITAIN’s Got Talent sensation, RuMac, has revealed that he is making an appearance in the new 28 Years Later film.

Ruairidh Maclean from Ullapool, who performs as RuMac, made it to the semi-finals of this year’s Britain’s Got Talent TV competition.

Since then, he has gone on to play at multiple events and festivals, including Highland News and Media’s Highland Heroes.

But his latest gig has seen him appearing in the highly-anticipated third instalment of the acclaimed 28 Days Later film series.

“It’s a rare thing to be asked to appear in the sequel to one of your favourite horror films,” RuMac said. “Thank you very much to Danny Boyle for not only asking me to be in the film, but to attend the north-east gala screening.”

28 Years Later, rated 15 and directed by Danny Boyle, stars the likes of Jodie Comer, Ralph Fiennes and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and was released on June 20.

RuMac continued: “The film was class, and an honour to be a part of. I think I was younger than Alfie Williams (who plays Spike) when I first watched 28 Days Later!”

IMDb’s description for the zombie horror film reads: “A group of survivors of the rage virus live on a small island. When one of the group leaves the island on a mission into the mainland, he discovers secrets, wonders, and horrors that have mutated not only the infected but other survivors.”
