Traffic Scotland has shared warnings of heavy snow in the area.

Police confirmed a heavy goods vehicle had become stuck after sliding on to a soft verge.

It's understood another HGV briefly got into difficulties at the scene but that traffic is now moving again.

The incident was flagged at around 4.30pm.

BEAR NW Trunk Roads has shared images of heavy snow in the area and said gritters have been deployed.

It urged drivers to take care.

Bear later tweeted: "Snowfall around the A835 and A9 is beginning to fall thick and fast around the NW Network. Please drive to conditions. #TakeCare."
