A ROSS-SHIRE field club is ready to step out on a series of walks and outings and has extended an invitation to anyone who is interested to get in touch.

Dingwall Field Club organises a varied series of outings with walks taking in rivers, forests and the seashore.

The latest programme, which started earlier this month with an outing to Abriachan, includes an Attadale trip that had to be cancelled during the coronavirus pandemic and an expert’s talk on the golden eagle.

The group said: “Though we don’t walk so far nowadays we do linger as we walk looking at all sorts of things we see as we go. We have tried to vary the walks with river, forest - both conifer and deciduous – and seashore.”

All start at 10am, generally meeting up in Dingwall.
