THE opportunity to see the quirkiest cows to set foot in the Highland Capital on a fun-filled walking tour this week will also provide a boost for one of the region's best-loved charities.

As previously reported, a Highland cow trail featuring the artistic creations of artists across the region has played a major part raising awareness of and funds for Highland Hospice.

Amongst them is a cow – including Juniper Moon – created by Tain-based Inge Smith.

The trail has been turning heads across the Highlands.

A total of 22 sculptures – 10 of them in Inverness where Highland Hospice is based – have been 'roaming' across the region.

A number, sadly, have been vandalised and required repairs.

On Wednesday this week, Walk Inverness will lead a Coo Spotting adventure. Experienced tour guide Cath will lead a journey through the Highland capital providing a wealth of knowledge about the city and stopping by to see some of the cows too.

The event is coming before the departure of our Moo-velous creations later in the week before they head to auction to raise funds for Highland Hospice.
