RNLI’s Kyle of Lochalsh lifeboat launches to reports of drifting dinghy near Skye Bridge

A dinghy adrift near to the Skye Bridge sparked a call-out for the local RNLI crew last night.

The Kyle of Lochalsh lifeboat was launched at 6.20pm following reports of the drifting dinghy in the Kyle.

A spokesperson for the RNLI said: "[There was] no sign of any people with the dinghy or in the area, so the boat was towed back to the pontoons to prevent it being a danger to other vessels."
