Always ready to expect the unexpected, the team training on Friday was delighted to enjoy the company of five humpback whales and 100-plus dolphins.

Mhairi Jarvie summed up the feelings of many when she posted on the crew’s Facebook page: “Oh my days! I’d have been in my element! Did any training actually get done?! Not sure I could concentrate on anything but watching these magnificent creatures.”

Sue Reeves added: “Absolutely breath-taking, thanks for sharing.”
