Journalist Lesley Riddoch set to screen ‘Denmark: The State of Happiness’ film in Applecross
A Scottish journalist and filmmaker will be screening her film in a Wester Ross village.
Lesley Riddoch will be showing her documentary ‘Denmark: The State of Happiness’ and offering a Q&A in Applecross.
Taking place on Friday, April 18 at Applecross Community Hall the event aims to inspire and empower local residents by exploring Denmark’s journey towards energy sustainability.
The film highlights how Denmark, despite its modest size and limited resources, became a model for eco-friendly living and community-driven initiatives.
Following the 60-minute film, attendees will have the unique opportunity to engage in a Q&A session with Lesley, connecting Denmark’s successful model of energy self-sufficiency to Applecross’ own Apple Juice Community Hydro Project.
The evening kicks off 6pm with soup available with donations.
Attendees can also enjoy a cash bar and buy tickets in a raffle featuring prizes donated by local supporters. All proceeds will go towards offsetting costs to put on the event.
